Pipedrive is a deal-driven customer relationship management CRM solution that also works as an account-management tool with the ability to assist with marketing and the entire sales process. Pipedrive’s proactive nature automatically tracks and organizes calls and emails and synchronizes schedules across devices. One capability that might be especially attractive to most small to midsized businesses (SMBs) is Pipedrive’s ability to visualize the sales process from start to finish. This can improve both efficiency and cut through a lot of second-guessing within teams, which is often the main reason CRM implementations fail.
Pipedrive is a sales-focused CRM that will be an attractive option for its ease of use and various tools and integrations. The 1,000 names on an email limit and lack of more robust marketing automation features slot it behind some competitors. There are other tools out there that offer similar feature sets at an even lower price than Pipedrive CRM, which starts at $12.50 per user per month. That’s what keeps it behind our current Editors’ Choice winners Zoho CRM and Salesforce Sales Cloud Lightning Professional. Still, this is a nice-looking tool, which we found easy to set up and use. So, if it has the features your organization needs, then Pipedrive is a fine choice. It has also expanded its offerings to accommodate large companies.
Pipedrive’s straightforward user interface (UI) is simple to pick up quickly, which is worth a lot compared to the time and expense some tools require for training and onboarding. Smaller SMBs and entrepreneurs charged with CRM tasks will welcome its ease of use. Still, while the visual appeal of the UI is top-notch, our third Editors’ Choice winner, Apptivo CRM, boasts the same functionality for even less money. All that means, however, is that you should investigate each package carefully to determine which best meets your needs.
Pipedrive CRM Pricing
When it comes to pricing, Pipedrive CRM keeps it simple with three tiers. The Essential tier (which we reviewed) costs $12.50 per user per month billed annually (or $15 month-to-month). It includes smart email, 2 gigabytes (GB) of storage per user, full sales management for unlimited users, native integrations and application programming interface (API) access, and support via chat, email, and phone. As far as an entry-level plan goes, Pipedrive CRM Silver gives you a lot.
“I highly recommend the Pipe drive to anyone who wants to automate bureaucratic steps in the sales process and effectively improve results and relationships with their customers.”
“This is super helpful when looking for clients to follow up with in a single glance.”
“Helps encourage deal movement forward. I like the way you can easily customize pipelines for various sales campaigns, and the new caller app is very useful.”
“I liked the way it pulled in my email and calendar and it was easy to set up reminders to follow up with prospects. The software is good – I would recommend it.”
“Functionality was terrible, I don’t know if we misunderstood and they aren’t actually a CRM system but what the product offered cannot be called a CRM.”
“The inability to move among contacts in the same list without returning to the main list page is a waste of time. The online app is basically useless.”
“Difficult to understand when using for the first time. Repetitive data entry can get boring.”
“The only thing that is kinda confusing especially to non-technical person is on integrating with third-party tools. Most of it needs to be connected with Zapier which is again another subscription.”
Pipedrive is a fully functional CRM as is, but you can extend its functionality with third-party apps. Your CRM can integrate with more than 275 third-party applications, including Zapier, Zoom, Calendly and Leadfeeder.
For more lead generation, you can opt for Pipedrive’s LeadBooster add-on. It’s a suite of lead-gen tools, including a chatbot, web forms and a live chat option for your website. There’s also a prospector tool that lets you find outbound leads. It costs $32.50 per month, if paid annually.
Another add-on from Pipedrive is a web visitors tool that lets you see the origin of a visitor to your site, such as the organization the person is from, which is most helpful for B2B businesses. You’ll be able to see how they found your site and how long they browsed your site, so you can gauge their interest. It costs $41 per month, on an annual payment basis.
Is Pipedrive Right for You or Your Business?
As long as your business is hyper-focused on organizing and streamlining sales pipelines only, Pipedrive could be an affordable and simple solution. To extend the functionality, you’ll have to rely on a dev team and API access to create custom features or integrations with third-party apps for other teams, such as marketing and customer support.
